ADORATION OF DANAAN Proceedings
EULOGY: The Eulogy is the first step of the Adoration. It usually takes place around the Autumnal Equinox. You must be insight 11 or higher to do this quest. A mundane appears in the Pravat caves, the Mehadi swamp and Astrid. They represent the Goddesses of the Grimlok, Mukul and Kobold. You can give Eulogy to either of these mundanes. The process gives a legend mark which will tell you where you did the Eulogy at, and good experience (about 1.6 million).
It is wise to have your characters give Eulogy to different mundanes so you will have a choice of which Adoration to participate in later.
1- Pravat caves: Adranuch Goddess gives you Pravat Cross
2- Mehadi swamps: Matrika Goddess gives you Mehadi Rose
3- Astrid: Arpina Goddess gives you Astrid Octagram
The items are not bankable and are rare, so if you die, they will probably be stolen. So put them on a non-hunting character to hold them until they are needed.
REDEMPTION: The second part of the quest happens around Valentine's day or a little later. You just return to the mundane you've given Eulogy to WITH YOUR ITEM IN YOUR INVENTORY. The item will be transformed during the Redemption:
1- Pravat cross -> Adranuch cross
2- Mehadi rose -> Matrika rose
3- Astrid octagram -> Arpina octagram
Another legend mark is given to you, and some experience just like during the Eulogy. You can do Redemption without doing the Eulogy, but the lack of legend marks and items will not grant you Adoration results which are described below. You would have to buy items, either originals from the Eulogy or those transformed by the Redemption.
ADORATION: This is the final part of the quest that happens on July 4th usually. After this event, the cycle of the quest begins again. You need 3 people to do this part. The Adoration can be given at any of the 3 mundanes. However, 3 people have to perform the quest together: 1 from Pravat, 1 from Mehadi, and 1 from Astrid. They go to see one mundane of their choice (choice often based on how a place is crowded. Pravat is usually the most crowded, followed by Mehadi, then Astrid is the least-crowded.) and they start giving the Adoration to Danaan. The mundane will ask the names of the aislings who have given Eulogy and Redemption to such and such Goddess.
Everyone gets a legend mark for completing the Adoration. The bonuses depend greatly on which step have been completed in the past:
Only Eulogy, no item -> Can't do Adoration
Only Eulogy, original item -> +1 to all stats
Only Redemption, no item -> Can't do Adoration
Only Redemption, original item -> +1 to all stats
Both Eulogy and Redemption, tranformed item -> +2 to all stats
Also you will want to keep in mind some other details:
No steps, but you hold an item -> Can't do Adoration
Any step, but no item -> Can't do Adoration
Only one step, original item -> +1 to all stats
Only one step, transformed item -> +2 to all stats
Please note that if you attack the monsters in these areas that are sacred to the goddesses there, you wont be able to do the quest until you have killed something like 10 different creatures.
That will be:
Grimloks in Pravat,
Frogs in Mehadi,
Kobolds in Astrid.
Theres usually enough people there that you wont be targetted by those creatures.
